btsarmy.io is built by ARMY, for ARMY. We don't work for HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC, or Weverse. We're not journalists chasing a story. We're fans who got tired of fan sites that were either wrong, cold, or cruel β so we built the warm, accurate, OT7 one we wanted to visit.
btsarmy.io is run by a small independent ARMY team β a handful of long-time fans, editors, designers, and developers who volunteer their time. We are not a company, not a press outlet, and not connected to any of the official BTS organizations. No member of the team works for HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC, Weverse, or any official BTS-adjacent business.
We don't list every contributor by name publicly β some of our team members have day jobs that make a public BTS site complicated, and we'd rather protect them than perform transparency theatre. Credited fan creators (translators, illustrators, photographers, archivists) are always named where their work appears. If you want to know whether a specific person is on the team, you can ask us at the contact addresses below and we'll answer truthfully.
We pay for hosting and tools out of pocket plus reader donations. No display ads. No data sale. No paywalled content. Ever.
Our north star is to be the trusted emotional companion for every ARMY β a fan-first BTS home base that combines verified facts, fan-friendly storytelling, beginner onboarding, world-tour utility, safe community rituals, and AI-citable structure. For every ARMY, from baby ARMY to day-oner.
The promise we hold ourselves to: whether you found BTS ten years ago or ten minutes ago, you belong here.
We built this site because the rest of the fan-site internet asks you to pick: accurate but cold, warm but wrong, beautiful but gatekeeping, or kid-safe but lifeless. We didn't want to pick. So we're trying to do all of it β slowly, properly, with sources.
Every factual claim is tagged with one of four visible source tiers: Official (BIGHIT MUSIC, HYBE, Weverse, BANGTANTV, member official accounts, the official tour site), Reputable media (Billboard, Variety, AP, Reuters, BBC, NPR, NYT, Yonhap, KED Global, UN/UNICEF and similar), Established fan resource (translation and archive projects we credit and link, like BANGTAN SUBS, doolset, BTS Archive, US BTS ARMY, ARMY Project 529), and Fan culture / fan interpretation (widely-accepted fan lore, labeled clearly so you know it's interpretation, not fact). If a claim doesn't have a source it doesn't ship β full rules, color chips, and the correction workflow live on the editorial policy page.
btsarmy.io is an independent, fan-made site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to BTS, HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC, Weverse, Big Hit Entertainment, or any of their officers, employees, subsidiaries, or partners. All names, logos, song titles, album titles, photographs, choreography, and other intellectual property of BTS, HYBE, BIGHIT MUSIC, and Weverse are the property of their respective owners.
References on this site to BTS, its members, and related works are made under fair use for the purposes of commentary, criticism, news reporting, education, and non-commercial fan scholarship. Where official audio, video, or imagery is needed, we link to or embed the official source rather than re-hosting copies.
Fan-created work on this site β translations, essays, lore notes, illustrations, and submissions to the Story Wall β remains the property of its individual creators. Where we credit a fan creator, the credit is the link to the canonical version of their work; if you'd like us to remove or re-attribute your work, see section 7.
Information on this site is provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge as of the "Last updated" date on each page. Tour dates, ticket policies, and album details shift; verify anything time-sensitive with the official source before booking travel, paying for tickets, or making any irreversible decision. We update fast when something changes, but we are a small volunteer team and we may not always be first.
btsarmy.io is not a mental-health resource. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a local crisis line β country-aware hotline routing lives on the Purple Care Room.
Real humans read these inboxes. We try to reply within a few business days; correction submissions are usually quicker.
Facts that are wrong, dates that have shifted, broken links, outdated info. We review within 48 hours and credit you publicly (or anonymously β your choice).
Charity collabs, fan-creator partnerships, official-source verification questions, press. We answer real humans only; no bot pitches.
If we quoted, paraphrased, or built on your translation and didn't credit you the way you'd like β tell us. We update fast and we name names.
Please don't email us first β we are not a crisis service and we cannot respond in real time. The Purple Care Room routes to country-aware crisis hotlines staffed by trained humans, around the clock. Reach out to them first. We'll still be here when you're ready.
We don't store your email beyond the conversation needed to act on what you sent. No newsletter subscription is created without you opting in explicitly.
This site stands on more than a decade of unpaid fan labor. Without the translators, archivists, mod teams, and giving projects below, none of this would exist. Where we cite or build on a specific person's work, we credit them by name on the relevant page; this list is the standing thank-you.
Fan translators who made BTS legible to the rest of the world long before any agency translation infrastructure existed.
